The Girl I Fell in Love With Was a Witch

It was around midnight.

In the small village of Devgarh, nestled among the hills far from the city, everything was silent. The wind was blowing so fiercely that the branches of the old trees collided with one another, creating strange and frightening sounds.

Outside the village was a deserted road that, according to the villagers, no one dared to travel on after dark.

But that night, Aarav was walking along that road alone.

Suddenly, he saw a girl standing by the roadside.

She was dressed in white, with long, loose hair, and a face so beautiful that Aarav forgot his troubles for a moment.

The girl slowly looked at him.

There was a strange sadness in her eyes.

“Could you please drop me at the village?” she asked softly.

Without thinking twice, Aarav agreed.

After that night, he began seeing the girl again and again.

Sometimes near the old well...

Sometimes deep inside the forest...

And sometimes outside the window of his house.

Her name was Naina.

Slowly, Aarav fell in love with her.

But whenever the villagers heard Naina's name, fear appeared on their faces.

One old man warned Aarav,

“Stay away from that girl... she isn't human.”

Aarav laughed.

“How do you know?”

The old man replied in a trembling voice,

“Because Naina died in this very village seventeen years ago.”

Aarav felt the ground disappear beneath his feet.

That night, he called Naina.

She answered.

For several seconds, there was nothing but the sound of breathing on the other end.

Then Naina whispered,

“You found out the truth?”

Aarav's throat went dry.

“Who... are you?”

There was silence for a few moments.

Then Naina replied,

“I am the one you should be most afraid of.”

Suddenly, a terrifying woman's scream came from the other end of the phone.

The call disconnected.

The next morning, Aarav began searching for Naina.

Deep inside the forest, he discovered an old mansion.

Inside the mansion, he saw a photograph hanging on the wall—and his blood froze.

The face in the photograph was the same.

Naina.

And beneath the photograph was a date:

14 July 2009.

But the most terrifying thing was that Naina wasn't alone in the photograph.

A small boy was standing beside her.

The boy looked exactly like Aarav.

Aarav slowly stepped backward.

Then someone whispered right beside his ear,

“You can't leave me again, Aarav...”

He turned around.

Naina was standing there.

But this time, her eyes were completely black.

Her beautiful face began to decay.

Her hair rose into the air on its own.

Her feet were floating several inches above the ground.

Aarav couldn't even scream.

Naina smiled.

“I didn't choose you because I love you...”

Her smile grew wider.

“I chose you because seventeen years ago, you were the one who killed me.”

Darkness swallowed Aarav's vision.

And then he began remembering his past life...

A girl...

A mansion...

A night engulfed in flames...

And his own hand...

Holding a knife covered in blood.

But the real mystery was still waiting.

Because the Naina Aarav believed to be a witch hadn't returned simply to take revenge.

She had returned to protect Aarav from someone else.

Because deep inside the dark mansion, something had awakened...

Something far more terrifying than Naina herself.

And its next victim...

was Aarav.
